The SUNY program offers a specific benefits for TAS and its faculty members. For the most up-to-date information on the program requirements, please check the special SUNY-ILSC website. Highlights of the program include: The degree program requires 30 semester hours of graduate work, equivalent to 9 SUNY courses and an independent Master's Project. Students may complete their individualized program in two or three years, depending upon the number of courses they take and/or transfer in to the program each year. Student cohorts may select courses from any department at the college (i.e. education, educational leadership/facilitation, educational computing, creative studies, educational foundations) and new courses can be created if a school has a need that is not met with existing courses. Students are allowed to transfer up to fifteen (15) approved credit hours from another accredited institution into this program. For example, teachers who may want more content specific coursework can take courses in their content area and transfer pre-approved courses into their degree program. Students are allowed to include up to six (6) additional credit hours through approved conference and/or workshop participation, including through EARCOS and other educational organizations, as well as through participation in TAS school improvement action teams and councils. Students may, by special arrangement, be able to participate in courses at other SUNY program locations, including Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
